Import, explore, and export.
Import a PNG, JPEG, or SVG. Start with a preset, shuffle into a new direction, or tune the controls yourself. Export PNG, with SVG or TXT when the current effect and settings support them.
Your image stays on your Mac.
FXOS only accesses the files you choose and processes them on your Mac. No account, cloud render queue, or AI service.
What to know before you download.
FXOS works locally with your files. Export options change with the effect, so you only see formats the result supports.
Does FXOS generate images?
No. You bring the image; FXOS applies effects to it. It does not generate source images or send your work to an AI service.
Does FXOS upload my files?
No. Import, rendering, and export happen on your Mac. FXOS does not need an account or a cloud render queue.
What can I import?
PNG, JPEG, and SVG. Use Import or drag a file into the workbench.
What can I export?
Every effect can export PNG. SVG appears when the current effect and settings support it. TXT appears for text-based ASCII output.
Which image effects does FXOS include?
FXOS includes ASCII Overlay, Dither, Halftone, Print, CRT Screen, and Color Map. Start with a preset, shuffle into a new direction, or tune the controls yourself.
How much will FXOS cost?
FXOS is planned as a $9.99 one-time purchase at launch, with no subscription. Use your Apple ID email to request TestFlight access before launch.
